Oukitel BT20 Review -First Impressions
The Oukitel BT20 is massive. It’s one of the biggest watches I’ve ever worn. For someone like me, who usually prefers smaller, lighter gadgets, the BT20 felt pretty overwhelming at first.
It’s noticeably heavier than my Amazfit GTR 4, and I could definitely feel it on my wrist.
While this might not be an issue for everyone—especially if you’re used to wearing larger watches—it took me a bit of time to get used to it.
oukitel bt20 military smart watch- Display and Interaction
The BT20 sports a 1.96-inch AMOLED screen. It’s bright and colorful, which makes reading notifications and health data easy. However, the display isn’t as interactive as I’m used to.
On my Amazfit GTR 4, I can tap on different areas of the screen to quickly jump to apps or data. The BT20 requires swiping in different directions:
- Swipe Right- Shows favorite apps.
- Swipe Left- Displays health data.
- Swipe Down- Opens notifications.
- Swipe Up- Displays messages.
Swiping to navigate through the watch was a bit tricky at first. It didn’t always respond perfectly, and sometimes it took a few tries to get it to work.
Another minor annoyance was the raise-to-wake feature. It’s supposed to turn on the screen when you lift your wrist, but it didn’t always work as expected.
Sometimes it woke up with a small movement, and other times it seemed like I needed to move more noticeably to get it to turn on.
Oukitel BT20 – Battery Life
Here’s where the BT20 really shines. The battery life is incredible. After a full week of use, the battery was still around 75%. Oukitel claims that the watch can last up to 15 days on standby, 10 days with regular use, and 7 days with heavy use.
Based on my experience, these numbers seem accurate. The watch’s default setting keeps the display on for just 5 seconds to save battery.
If you adjust this setting to keep the screen on for longer, the battery life will decrease, but it’s still impressive compared to other smartwatches.
Oukitel BT20 Review- Health and Fitness Features
The Oukitel BT20 includes several health and fitness features tracks your heart rate, blood pressure, and blood oxygen levels. I compared these measurements with those from my Amazfit GTR 4, and they were very close. The BT20 also offers various sports modes to track different activities like running and cycling.
One downside is the watch’s size made it uncomfortable to wear while sleeping. I tried to use it for sleep tracking, but it was too bulky and heavy. I ended up taking it off before bed. If you don’t mind wearing a larger watch or just plan to use it during the day, this shouldn’t be an issue.
Oukitel BT20 – The FitCloudPro App
To get the most out of the Oukitel BT20, you need to use the FitCloudPro app. This app lets you customize the watch, choose different watch faces, and view detailed health data. While I initially didn’t want to install another app, I found FitCloudPro to be quite useful. It allows you to access settings and features that aren’t available directly on the watch.
The app is user-friendly and helps you get the most out of the BT20. You can check blood pressure, blood oxygen levels, and set activity reminders. It’s a great tool for anyone who wants to fully utilize the watch’s capabilities.
Oukitel BT20 Review- Final Thoughts
Finally, the Oukitel BT20 is an excellent choice if you want a long-lasting, low-cost smartwatch. For $49.99, you get a watch with a long battery life and precise health tracking. While it is not the most fashionable or user-friendly watch, it provides excellent value for the money.
If you don’t mind a larger watch and want something that lasts a long period on a single charge, the Oukitel BT20 is a great option. It demonstrates that a high-quality smartwatch does not require a large investment.
