Smartwatch owners have had a hectic spring, with Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Ultra and Watch 7 arriving earlier this month and the Google Pixel Watch 3 debuting this week. However, as significant as the individual announcements were, they are not the only ones to be expected at an industry-leading expo in the coming weeks, as IFA 2024 begins in just a few weeks.

The event will feature wearables from various manufacturers, and today, we get a first look at renderings of some of the Garmin Fenix 8, Fenix E, and Enduro 3 models.

Garmin Fenix 8 is one of the most anticipated smartwatches of this year. Based on leaked renders, its new model will come equipped with superior AMOLED displays compared to previous MIP LCD panels used for Fenix watches. An AMOLED display promises vibrant colors and greater contrast that will enhance user experiences and ultimately enhance performance.

Fenix 8 will come in two sizes.

  • 47mm
  • 51mm

These versions have leaked prices of 1100 euros ($1,205) for the smaller and 1,199 euros ($1,315) for the bigger models; though these numbers could change at any time due to any number of unknown factors such as specifications being hidden by Garmin; their decision to switch over to AMOLED displays underscores Garmin’s dedication in offering premium displays that meet or surpass existing offerings in their range.

Garmin seems to be unveiling another model known as The Fenix E alongside their Fenix 8. While its AMOLED counterpart will feature dual displays, The Fenix E may feature only an LCD-based screen – making it potentially less costly than more costly alternatives.

Fenix E is expected to come in one size of 47mm, making it suitable for those who enjoy its tough design and performance, yet want it at a reduced cost. No specifications have yet been provided but one can presume fewer costly features may exist as compared to Fenix 8.

Pricing details on the Enduro 3 and its specific features – such as switching to an AMOLED screen – have yet to be made known, though its emphasis on premium materials suggests it will likely come at a similar or even higher cost than its predecessor.
